The African Journal of Legal Research is a fully-refereed reviewed Journal which sets out to deepen research and scholarship opportunities within and outside the continent of Africa. The journal is international in outlook and seeks to improve the status quo in terms of deepening the values of academics towards the promotion of legal research in order to bridge the Trans – generational gaps and encourage legal scholars within the African Continent to join in promotion of legal research for African social, economic and political developments. Contributions generally address issues of legal research and contemporary issues of comparative law.
GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
- All peer review is double blind. AJLR is committed to peer-review integrity and upholding the highest standards of review.
- The AJLR remains open for general submissions year-round to editor@africanjournaloflegalresearch.com
- The Journal is an Open Access Journal and accessible at https://africanjournaloflegalresearch.com
- The paper should be structured as: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, discussion, summary of findings, conclusion, and recommendation(s).
- Manuscripts should STRICTLY not exceed 6000 words.
- Submitted manuscripts will be subjected to plagiarism tests through the use of Turnitin, Grammarly or other plagiarism checkers as the Editorial Team may decide from time to time. The similarity index rate acceptable to AJLR is 25%.
- Each Author is made to sign a Copyright Agreement as evidence of originality of submitted manuscripts.
- Manuscripts should be well referenced in footnotes (not endnotes) and must accord with the Oxford University Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA 4th edn) available at www.law.ox.ac.uk/oscola.
- Please use British (-ise) spelling style consistently throughout your manuscript.
- The Journal accepts papers on a rolling basis and available on https://africanjournaloflegalresearch.com
